Members use of Social Media

Important Notice

During the last meeting the use of social media was a topic for discussion and it is important that it is used in the appropriate manner. Social media is such a great tool to promote the club,  but we must be aware of what we all post and consider everyone within the club. The sharing of photographs is a great way for parents and friends to catch up on competitions and training and used to enhance the reputation of the Portreath SLSC. However, if you are taking individual pictures of children could you please ask the parents of the child permission before they are tagged and put on social media sites. We are in no way trying to stop photographs as they are a massive part of what we all do at Portreath Surf Lifesaving Club, but just ask that we are aware and common sense is used to prevent any issues. If you do see anyone at the beach taking photographs of our children could they be made aware to the coaches or ourselves as we are within our right to challenge those individuals. Thank you for your continued support in keeping all our children safe and allowing them to enjoy the beach and club.
