A meeting was held on Wednesday evening to introduce the Graduate Lifeguard Project to our youth members, Mark Turner from SLSGB explained how the project works, the benefits to the graduate and to the club. It is available to members who are in Year 9-11 at school as they have to be 14 to take the awards, the course is set over 3 years but could be completed sooner if an older member joined later on. There is also the opportunity to complete Young Leaders Award and D of E Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards.
The members who attended each took a registration form, for those who could not attend Mark left some forms and they can be collect from Diane, once the club is ready to proceed and we have received the forms SLSGB will organise delivery of the Logbooks and uniform ready for the clubs official launch.
