GBR Lifesaving is proud to announce the teams of 12 competitors to compete at the European Championships, Belgium in September 2017.
Portreath Members selected:
Senior Team – Anya Piotrowicz, Charlie Haynes, George Haynes and Lewis Rosewell.
Youth Team – Louis Garner, Steven Lewis, Maia Garner and Emma Kendall.
A record 93 athletes declared for GBR selection, with 72 athletes racing against each other over a 2 day competition at Portreath. Athletes supported and cheered on by a passionate crowd, raced through testing conditions with overhead surf, winds switching from offshore to onshore between tides, sunshine and heavy rain.
Well done to all the Portreath members who took part in the trial and congratulations to the eight members capped to represent Great Britain.
