Hello Susan BrayOur new Membership scheme has re-launched today.Co-op Members in your local community can now see your cause profile on our membership website.

How it works

Every time our members choose Co-op branded products and services and use their Co-op Membership card (subject to our Membership T&Cs) 1% of what they spend will go to their chosen cause.

Members can change their choice at any time until the end of the giving period on 18th March 2017.

If members don’t pick a cause during the giving period then their 1% is shared out equally between all the local causes in their community.

Any funds raised for your cause will be distributed shortly after the end of the giving period.

Spreading the news

We want your time with the Co-op Local Community Fund to be a huge success, so we’re sending announcements to both local and national newspapers.

To help you bring to life your project and how it benefits the local community for your supporters and our members, we have pulled together a promotional guide which you can find here.

You can use the guide to help promote your cause – it includes suggestions of how to approach local newsletters, how use social media and poster and leaflet templates that you can personalise and put up in your local Co-op Food stores and community noticeboards in your area.

We’ll send a separate email shortly that lists the Co-op Food stores that will be promoting your cause.

Keeping track of your funds raised

If you are a member you can keep an eye on how much is being raised in your Co-op Membership account or you can visit your local Co-op Food store and check for updates.

If you have any queries, email us and we’ll do our best to help.

Thanks and good luck!
