Congratulations to Rob Phillips

At the recent ILS Board of Directors meeting in Eindhoven in September 2016, Rob Phillips has been appointed to the ILS Sport Commission.  He is one of 15 people from all over the world, who will help to shape the sport of lifesaving at the world level over the next four years until September 2020.

During this time, it is expected that ILS will be developing a case for inclusion into the main Olympic Programme in the future.  The format and structure of future Lifesaving World Championships, and the rules that govern them worldwide will also be key topics for discussion, and Rob’s experience in lifesaving sport will be invaluable.  He joins a highly experienced group of colleagues from the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the United States, Canada, Japan, Spain, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Egypt and Iran.
