| Young lifeguards at the Portreath Surf Life Saving Club have some new equipment to help with their training. |
The club has successfully received via the Kerrier Community grant scheme a cheque for £2,000 to aid with the purchase of three Concept II indoor rowing machines. The equipment will now enable the club to offer all its junior member’s additional options to its current training programmes along with the added advantage of teaching those interested the basics in Surf boat rowing with the aim of developing 17 – 19 years old men’s and ladies competitive crews.
Pictured are some junior members who tried out the equipment for the first time along with Cllr Loveday Jenkin (Port Folio Holder) |
