2016 SLS GB Nationals at Portreath SLSC

Now that we have all safely returned from an amazing week in Exmouth for Nationals our focus now turns to Senior Nationals this weekend at Portreath. This is billed as the pinnacle event on the Surf Life Saving calendar seeing the best in the best compete for the coveted titles.

The weekend kicks off on Friday for an International Event, England v Wales. This is then followed in the afternoon by an exciting elimination event; the Golden Flag which has a healthy £500 cheque included in the last flag on the beach to grab!

We then progress onto the main event, Senior Nationals. Starting each day at 9am. Come down and watch the best in our country compete in each discipline, exciting to watch and inspiring for our young athletes. There will be a drone filming throughout the weekend with live coverage played back to the club, first time we’ve done this so very exciting.

There will be full refreshments over the course of the weekend with the legend Paul Hancock & his wife Andrea taking up the BBQ gauntlet. Bar will be open from 2pm each day.

Sunday evening it’s time to let your hair down with the ‘After Party’ this will be open to everybody over 16yrs, no tickets required. Disco and bar until 12.

Thank you to everyone that has already pledged offers of help, if you are free and would like to be involved in the team please get in touch. We would be grateful for any donations of cakes over the weekend please.

Lets make it a good one, Go Green Army!
