The junior section is for member’s age between 12 – 16 years, this includes those who are in the last year of Nippers. As well as a focus on competition skills and education, juniors are a great opportunity to catch up with friends and enjoy the beach with fantastic facilities at Portreath Surf Life Saving Club.

In the summer months everyone is encouraged to train on boards & surf skis in sea to become familiar with varied surf conditions. The winter swim sessions hopefully will be paying dividends and those happier on dry land, beach sprint and flag training.

The winter months are conducted at the swimming pool, where excellent swim training is given and still water rescue/competition skills are carried out for the next season.

All members & representatives are encouraged to demonstrate exemplary behavior in order to promote children’s welfare. Portreath SLSC follows the governing body Child Protection policy and all coaches/instructors are CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked.
